A Class C CDL allows drivers to operate vehicles designed to transport 16 or more passengers (including the driver) or hazardous materials in small quantities. These drivers often work in roles such as shuttle bus driving, small hazmat truck driving, or similar positions. To obtain a Class C CDL, individuals must pass both knowledge and skills tests specific to the type of vehicle and cargo they plan to handle.
