Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, city directories, road maps, load tickets, SDS sheets, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Drug-free.Valid Class A C.D.L. driver's license with a clean 5-year driving record.Team player.Ability to drive manual transmissionsProficiency in operating piggyback forklifts and moffetts and knuckle boom.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Safely drive flatbed truckShow up on time for work and to the job siteDeliver our product to customersUnload product according to customer directionMaintain clean truckMaintain clean driving recordFriendly, cooperative interactions with coworkers and customersCommunicate location and status to dispatcherAbide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Daily perform a pre and post-trip safety check on equipment and the truck to assure a safe and operational vehicle.Determine the most effective route to and from the delivery site. Transport and maintain the condition of any of the Raw/Fabricated material as part of the company inventory that can be safely hauled on assigned vehicle.Assist in loading (may be done by a lift truck or by hand) &/or make corrections and adjustments as needed. Verify that the products load onto truck match the load tickets. At the destination/delivery site remove straps and securing and unload product using the boom or forklift/Moffett in the area requested by the customer.
