Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Class 8 Diesel Mechanic to join our busy repair shop. As an Auto Mechanic, you will assist our customers by diagnosing and repairing issues with vehicles’ performance and function.
As an Auto Mechanic, you must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment, preparing cost estimates, and maintaining a welcoming environment. 
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years experience, professional and able to independently work thoroughly.
Working hours 7:30am to 5:30 pm Monday - Friday
 
Responsibilities 
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles using different software.
  • Experience in electrical brakes and preventative maintence
  • Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
  • Create repair estimates and timelines
  • Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
  • Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills are required
