Job description

Buy Sod, a multi-state agribusiness company with sod farms in the Carolinas, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee, is currently seeking to hire an experienced and motivated Full Time Class A CDL Driver to join our team at our Soperton, GA. location.

Class A CDL Driver Role Summary:
Operate commercial vehicles safely and in full compliance with all company policies and local, state, federal, DOT, and FMCSA regulations.
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and maintenance, maintain required documentation, and ensure vehicles, trailers, and equipment remain clean, roadworthy, and properly equipped.
Safely transport, secure, load, and unload sod, verifying legal weight limits, preventing product damage, and ensuring accurate, on-time deliveries.
Maintain accurate operational records including ELD/DOT logs, trip reports, fuel receipts, delivery status updates, and all required delivery documentation.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating delivery updates, notifying customers prior to arrival, resolving delivery or product concerns professionally, and obtaining required customer signatures and documentation.
Support company safety and operational standards by participating in safety inspections and required training, wearing appropriate PPE and company-issued apparel, and promptly reporting delays, vehicle issues, or other operational concerns.
Class A CDL Driver Requirements:
Valid Class A Endorsement and DOT Medical Certification
Flatbed experience preferred
Previous experience operating a forklift preferred
Clean driving record
The use of your personal cell phone is required for this position and will be partially reimbursed on a stipend basis.
Ability to accommodate occasional extended routes and/or overnight stays as requested.
