Job description

H2O Innovation provides public works management services & operations assistance for water & wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations, and businesses across North America.


 H2O is currently seeking a Wastewater Operator (Class IV) to join our team in Laurel, Mississippi.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and operate wastewater treatment processes to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Monitor plant operations and make adjustments as needed
  • Analyze lab and operational data to maintain treatment performance
  • Troubleshoot process, mechanical, and equipment issues
  • Coordinate and support maintenance of plant equipment
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and compliance documentation
  • Lead and support lower-level operators
  • Respond to alarms, upsets, and emergency situations
  • Assist with inspections, audits, and regulatory coordination
  • Enforce safety procedures and company standards


The Skills We Are Looking For 

  • Active Level IV Wastewater Operator License (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and regulations
  • Experience in municipal wastewater plant operations
  • Ability to monitor and adjust plant processes and systems
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Leadership ability and experience supporting a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
