Job description

Job Summary:

Naniq Truck Drivers are the face of our company. You will deliver freight to customers on a scheduled delivery route in a safe and efficient manner. Professionalism and accuracy is essential to our customers. Our drivers check and scan each pallet, delivering accompanying paperwork to the customer. At each stop on the route, you will off-load items using a hand truck and ramp and interact with customers.

Pay Range: 

$24.48 - $30.00 per Hour DOE & License Class

Class B or Class 4 Drivers:

  • $500 sign-on bonus paid on your first paycheck
  • Additional $750 paid after 6 months of employment

License Incentive:

  • Up to $1,500 available to support obtaining your Class B or Class 4 license
  • Incentive is subject to prorated repayment if employment ends before the agreed-upon period

This position qualifies for the Loyalty Incentive Program bonus paid quarterly in the amount of $2 per hour worked not including PTO or holiday pay.

In compliance with Hawaii pay transparency expectations, the posted range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight
  • Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques
  • Complete routes as assigned by dispatch, adjusting for traffic or delays
  • Ensure all shipments are secure and protected during transit
  • Follow all DOT, company, and customer safety requirements
  • Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and vehicle inspection reports
  • Report equipment issues, delays, or delivery problems to dispatch
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers
  • Keep vehicle clean and fueled, and schedule maintenance as needed
  • Assist with warehouse duties when needed (loading, organizing, staging)
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and DOT Medical Card
  • CDL may be required based on vehicle type and route
  • 1+ year of delivery or transportation experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of road safety and defensive driving
  • Able to use a smartphone, GPS, and basic delivery apps
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Must pass drug screening and background checks, which include employer, customer, and/or SIDA background checks
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States
Physical Requirements:

Frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time, stepping in and out of tractor cabs, hand-eye coordination, and good vision. Occasionally exposed to bright or dim lighting conditions, whole-body vibration when driving the truck.
