CDL-A Semi-Local Truck Driver –Furniture Account

Join a dedicated semi-local position based in Norwich, CT, delivering no-touch furniture freight between distribution centers. Earn competitive pay plus a $10,000 bonus while averaging 2,000 miles per week, running consistent night routes, and getting home most days.

Pay Details

$90,000.00 per year

  • Average Weekly Pay: $1,731
  • $10,000 Bonus
  • $15.50 per stop
  • $24 per live load or live unload
  • $50 per truck move
  • $15.00-$15.50 per hour for safety classes and miscellaneous work
  • $200-$300 for outsourced work supporting other accounts
Job Details
  • Dedicated semi-local position based in Norwich, CT
  • Operate throughout Connecticut and New York, including Long Island
  • Deliver furniture between Bob's Furniture distribution centers
  • Average approximately 2,000 miles per week
  • 100% no-touch freight
  • Primarily drop-and-hook operations
  • Average 8 loads per week
  • Average 9-12 stops per week
  • Assigned automatic sleeper trucks
  • Trucks cannot be taken home during time off
  • Drivers may be called upon to support other regional accounts
  • Support freight is also no-touch and may operate throughout New England and into the boroughs of New York City
  • Drivers must have reliable personal transportation to and from the account daily
Shift Details
  • Monday-Friday schedule
  • Night driving position with start times around 5:00 PM
  • Drivers should expect to be out overnight approximately 2-3 nights per week
  • During peak periods (March-April, July-August, November, and December), drivers must be willing to work a 6th day
  • Holiday schedule:
    • Thanksgiving: Off
    • Christmas: Off
    • New Year's: Time off not guaranteed
Job Requirements
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience
  • No SAP Drivers
  • Must be comfortable with overnight travel and night driving
  • Must be willing to support other accounts when needed
  • Reliable personal transportation to and from the account is required
  • Must meet all DOT, company, and account-specific hiring requirements
  • Safe driving record
