Job Description

Perform professional dental cleanings, including comprehensive oral prophylaxis.
Educate patients about oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and the importance of preventive care.
Apply topical fluorides and place dental sealants.
Conduct oral health assessments, including screenings for cavities, periodontal disease, and oral cancer.
Capture and interpret dental radiographs, including bitewing and panoramic x-rays.
Perform supra- and subgingival scaling, root planing, and therapeutic treatments for acute periodontal conditions.
Assist with advanced periodontal care and surgical techniques when required.
Administer local anesthetics if qualified.
Record accurate patient histories and maintain complete patient documentation.
Adhere to infection control protocols and HIPAA guidelines.
Mentor and train dental assistants to enhance team performance.
Participate in community dental prevention and education programs.
Embrace adaptability; take on additional clinical, administrative, or community health tasks as needed.

Salary Range

Full-time $71,000 - $91,000 per year

Shift & Schedule

Monday – Friday | Day Shift

Requirements
  • Basic life support
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Licensed dental hygienist

Graduate of an accredited School of Dental Hygiene.
Current, valid Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Missouri (or willingness to obtain).
Current CPR certification.
Knowledge of dental hygiene practices, including equipment, instruments, and materials.
Strong communication and patient coaching skills.
Willingness to provide telehealth dental services as needed.

Preferences

Prior dental hygiene experience is highly desired, but not required.
Comfortable mentoring dental assistants and collaborating in a team-centered environment.
Willingness to become licensed in additional states (as needed for patient care).
Familiarity with community health, public health, or underserved patient populations.
