Job description

NewcrestImage is hiring a Chief Engineer for The Clara Hotel, Plano, TX formerly NYLO Plano!
NewcrestImage is a premier company in the hospitality space that designs, builds and operates state-of-the-art hotels for the most renowned brands in the industry. We are a trendsetting company that is acutely focused on culture and that strives to “genuinely care for people so their lives are enriched.” We are currently looking for a phenomenal leader to be a part of our already dynamic team. This person will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the hotel.
In terms of key responsibilities, first and foremost and just like every other position within our company, this role will advance NewcrestImage’s core values of People come First, Communication is Knowledge, Giving is Fun, Experiences are Memorable, and Response-Ability is Ours. A few of the more specific details are shared below:
  • Directly supervise all engineering Associates and projects and ensure proper completion of all duties.
  • Direct and coordinate all the maintenance activities of the hotel’s facilities, including routine and preventive maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, back of house, and laundry operations.
  • Ensure the proper appearance of the hotel from the entrance to the roof. Direct and coordinate the maintenance of the parking lot and walkways, the landscaping, service and trash areas, and the exterior of all buildings.
  • Act as the Manager on Duty (MOD) when scheduled as such by the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
1-3 years hospitality maintenance experience required.
Strong guest centric mentality.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Ability to communicate both written and verbal effectively.
Well-groomed and professional in appearance.
