Job description

POSITION TITLE: Claims Service Representative

STATUS: Exempt

COMPENSATION RANGE: $42,000 - $48,000 Annually

LOCATION: Based out of our beautiful West Creek Office, located at 12580 West Creek Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23238.

REPORTS TO: Claims Process and Support Manager


POSITION SUMMARY:

The “CSR” handles windshield claims, rental cars, dispatching of claims, maintaining drive in appointment schedules and processing salvage vehicles.

LOCATION

This position is based out of our beautiful West Creek Office location. West Creek (Goochland, VA – Richmond, VA)

Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Hybrid schedule is offered, in office 3 days a week, work from home 2 days a week, after training and probationary period is completed.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Answer phone calls to enter new claims and answer customer questions.
  • Maintain the glass/ rental help desk.
  • Evaluate and determine claim assignments.
  • Ensure customers are receiving best possible customer service.
  • Verify and pay towing claims.
  • Set up car rentals with appropriate rental firms and pay rental invoices.
  • Follow up on rental vehicles with appraisers to terminate rentals on expiration date of repairs.
  • Maintain salvage programs and record/process salvage titles.
  • Assist with mail in the unit.
  • Back-up other CSR’s.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Provide management reports monthly.
  • All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous claims experience

MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience with on-line and stand-alone computer systems
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Dependable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills (Word and Excel)
  • High level of initiative/motivation
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and organize with limited supervision
  • Ability to build rapport quickly

  • INS Insurance courses
  • AIC Insurance courses
