Claims Attorney - Financial Services Group Legal & Claims
The Financial Services Group (FSG) is Aon's dedicated management liability insurance specialty practice with deep experience in directors' and officers' (D&O), employment practices liability (EPL), fiduciary, crime, and kidnap, ransom, and extortion (KRE). FSG works closely with Aon's Cyber Solutions Cyber Broking team to deliver seamless advice and insurance placement across key financial lines, including errors and omissions (E&O). The FSG team comprises insurance professionals dedicated to serving the needs of our clients. FSG also includes a Legal and Claims team to assist clients with claims counseling and advocacy.
This is a hybrid role to work in the Midwest or East.

What the day will look like
Claims attorney position in the FSG Legal & Claims practice, Supports the brokers and clients in all management liability lines of coverage and provides claims advocacy services on behalf of clients, in addition to policy drafting and interpretation and educational services to internal Aon FSG colleagues.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Required Experience:
  • Significant experience at an insurance broker supporting advocacy for commercial clients across management and professional liability insurance.
  • Active law license in any state.
  • The position is East Coast or Midwest based, some travel and office days required.
  • Candidate must have ten plus years of management and professional liability claims advocacy

Education: JD/Law degree required

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $137,300 - $240,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
