Immediate need for an ACM Cladding and Alucobond Panels Estimator in Miami, FL. MUST have experience with ACM Estimating! If your resume does not include the word "Estimating" in there, you would not qualify.
Compensation: $60,000 - 90,000 per year, depending on candidate's education, experience, and technical skills.
Job Summary:
The ACM Cladding and Alucobond Panels Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for aluminum composite material (ACM) cladding and Alucobond panel projects. This role involves analyzing architectural drawings, specifications, and proposals to estimate material, labor, and project timelines. The Estimator will work closely with project managers, architects, suppliers, and clients to ensure competitive and accurate bids for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Estimation: Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and project proposals to develop accurate cost estimates for ACM and Alucobond panel systems, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed and competitive bid packages for both public and private sector projects. Review addenda, clarifications, and provide adjustments to bids, as necessary.
  • Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to obtain pricing for materials and ensure the most cost-effective options are used in the estimate.
  • Project Takeoffs: Conduct material takeoffs from blueprints and drawings to calculate material requirements for ACM panels, insulation, sub-framing, and associated cladding components.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and analyze potential risks and offer solutions for mitigation in the estimating process.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients, architects, and engineers to understand project requirements, clarifying details, and ensuring that bids meet the client's needs and expectations.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain and update records of all estimates, bids, and relevant documentation. Provide reports on cost estimates and forecasting to management.
  • Market Trends & Pricing: Stay informed about current market conditions, material costs, and industry trends to provide accurate pricing and maintain competitiveness.
  • Compliance & Codes: Ensure that all estimates comply with building codes, safety standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with the project management and design teams to ensure that cost estimates align with project timelines and goals.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in estimating, preferably within the ACM cladding or exterior panel industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading architectural drawings and blueprints. Familiarity with estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar). Strong knowledge of ACM materials, particularly Alucobond panels, and cladding systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to perform accurate and detailed material takeoffs, analyze project costs, and make informed pricing decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates and bidding processes.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with ACM panel systems such as Alucobond, Reynobond, or similar materials.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and installation practices for ACM and cladding systems.
  • Experience with curtain wall or façade systems is an asset.
