Job description

    Position Overview

    This position is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on the Corporate and Transportation facility, covering both interior and exterior structures, systems, and fixtures. Work involves a variety of skilled trades, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, locksmithing, flooring, electrical, welding, mechanical systems, and HVAC
    Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
    • Conduct routine daily inspections and maintenance of building interiors and exteriors.
    • Assist with and perform general maintenance, repair, and construction tasks across the facility.
    • Support installation, maintenance, and repair work across multiple trades, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, welding, locksmithing, flooring, mechanics, and HVAC.
    • Inspect property grounds and communicate with management regarding landscaping, cleanup, and general maintenance needs.
    • Ensure and actively maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Support operational procedures to ensure customer value and regulatory compliance, including ISO standards and Lean Logistics principles.
    • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Participate in all required training programs. Complete assigned work in a timely and professional manner.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Lean Logistics Center.
    • Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records and schedules.
    • Perform other related job duties as assigned or required.
    Required Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent or equivalent relevant experience.
    • One year of experience as a semi-skilled worker in one or more of the basic building maintenance trades. Knowledge of manual and electrical hand tools.
    • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and usage of email.
    • Ability to follow oral and/or written instruction.
    • Basic math and reading skills to perform job tasks and complete necessary paperwork.
    • Ability to function with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks and prioritize daily work.
    • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work with others in a professional manner
    Physical Requirements
    This position requires the physical ability to:
    • Stand and/or walk for extended periods (up to X hours, depending on shift)
    • Sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
    • Climb stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds at various heights including ground-level and racking zones (occasionally/frequently)
    • Reach with hands and arms overhead and below waist level
    • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
    • Occasionally lift heavier items with or without assistance
    • Use fine motor skills/manual dexterity to operate equipment, tools, or keyboards
    • Frequently use hands and fingers to handle, grasp, or control objects
    • See clearly at close range and at distance, with peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
    • Hear and understand verbal instructions, alarms, and equipment signals in a noisy environment

    Work Environment
    This position operates in a warehouse and distribution center environment. The employee is frequently exposed to:
    • Varying temperatures, including but not limited to refrigerated or non-climate controlled areas
    • Loud noise levels, such as machinery, forklifts, and conveyor systems
    • Dust, odors, and airborne particles
    • Concrete flooring and moving mechanical equipment
    • Frequent exposure to powered industrial vehicles and warehouse traffic
    The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and high visibility vests
    Location/Remote Eligibility
    This role may be performed on-site only.
    Schedule
    Work hours may vary by shift assignment and may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime based on business needs.
