2026 Salary Range: ($90,430-105,540) / Yearly with locality

The primary purpose of this position is: To exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers in accomplishing trades and labor work in the manufacturing and repair of aircraft molds, patterns, wood mill, welding and sheet metal operations. The organizational location of this position is: Air Force Material Command (AFMC)/ Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC)/ Hill Air Force Base, UT/ Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC)/309 MXSG
The organizational goals or objectives of this position are to provide customer support in the manufacture and repair of drop hammer molds and patterns for various aircraft sheet metal components, and the manufacture and repair of various wood and metal storage containers for various aircraft components. The manufacture and repair of various sheet metal and welding fabrication components for the industrial facilities within the maintenance group and host tenant organizations at OO-ALC.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable)
- The employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include overtime, and/or days, swings, or owl shifts. The employee may be required to rotate shifts, consisting of day, swing, and grave as needed to support the required needs of customers.
- The employee may be required to work during base exercises, contingencies or emergency situations.
- The employee may occasionally travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft IAW Joint Travel Regulations to other government installations, contractor facilities, or other commercial Locations for both training and mission accomplishment.
- The duties of this position require the employee to operate a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required.
- This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.

1. Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/ Equal Employment Treatment.
2. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and /or test equipment common to trades supervised.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications.
5. Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission.
