Job description

Audiology Services

Responsible for providing quality audiology services for all categories of patients eligible to receive authorized health care, including Department of Army and Defense Health Agency civilian employees exposed to health hazards.

Provide consultative assistance to medical personnel in the area of diagnostic site-of-lesion testing.

Evaluate patients with suspected and confirmed communication disorders. Work with a wide variety of hearing disorders in neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adult and geriatric patients.

Plan and direct aural rehabilitation programs for patients who will benefit from amplification and/or assistive listening devices.

Ensure tests are conducted properly, regulations are followed and patients receive quality care and any referrals if needed.

Independently counsel patients and their families regarding test results and the need for further evaluation or referral.
