Job description

Description
The Alsandor Law Firm is hiring a Discovery Paralegal to join our litigation team. For over 25 years, we've built our reputation in Houston family law on strategic, compassionate representation - and we're looking for someone who takes real pride in building airtight case foundations behind the scenes.
In this role, you'll be the engine behind our written discovery process: drafting requests and responses, organizing financial data, and preparing the exhibits and inventories that win cases. This is a role for someone who loves precision - who finds satisfaction in a perfectly reconciled asset spreadsheet or a discovery response that leaves no gaps. If you thrive on accuracy, work well under deadline pressure, and want to be part of a team where your work directly shapes case outcomes, we want to talk to you.
We believe great lawyering starts with great teamwork, and we invest in the people who make it happen. Our team enjoys a supportive, collaborative culture with half-day Fridays, team lunches, comprehensive health/dental/vision coverage, paid CLE, and a retirement plan.
Responsibilities
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, notices
• Draft requests and responses to interrogatories, disclosures, and production requests under the guidance of a lawyer
• Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers
• Meet with clients to gather information about their legal documents
• Create a Marital Inventory of Assets and Liabilities
• Calculate child support, equity, and other numbers
• Prepare Exhibits
• Obtain court policies and procedures
• Communicate with Clients
• Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits
Qualifications
• 5+ years Paralegal experience; Family Law experience preferred
• 5+ years of experience in drafting discovery per the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and the Texas Family Law
• Type at least 50 wpm
• Work well with numerical data
• Attention to detail in all work assignments and work with excellence
• Meet deadlines from written and verbal instructions
• Work at least 20% of the time overtime and be flexible in order to complete tasks
• Exhibit honesty, courtesy, and professionalism
• Work well with team collaboration
• Strong oral and written communication skills
