Job Description
AECOM is seeking a candidate for the position of Civil Engineering Technician III in the Transportation Department in Stevens Point, Middleton, and Milwaukee, WI. Work will consist of construction inspection, materials testing, survey and administration of WisDOT and local projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating directly with contractors, team members, and the AECOM project leader.
Successful candidate will be based out of their home office and may need to travel during the day or overnight for projects in their Region. They will need to work independently and with other team members to complete quality WisDOT and local construction projects on time and within budgets.
• Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety and code requirements.
• Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
• General understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
The following skill sets are desirable but not required:
GPS and Survey equipment knowledge.
Familiarity with Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
Familiarity with municipal, county, and non-WisDOT construction projects.
Familiarity with WisDOT Standard Specifications and material certification requirements.
WisDOT material certifications including AGGTECH, PCCTECH, Nuclear Density, TMS.
A motor vehicle check is preferrred

Relocation is not available for this role.
