Job description

STV is looking for a Full-Time Senior Site/Civil Land Development Director in Civil Site Design in our Kentucky operation (Glasgow, Louisville, Lexington or Owensboro offices). These positions will involve Client Coordination and strong communication skills, while technical skills in facilitating projects from notice to proceed to final project closeout. This will include plan development, scheduling, cost estimating, specifications, and related administrative duties. Duties also include supervision and guidance as they relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for successful completion of assigned engineering projects. Applyintensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to Civil Site Design and Industrial Site Design projects assigned. Makedecisions independently on civil engineering problems and methods and represents the company in client meetings and coordination conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work.
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and directthe completion of assigned projects. Establishand maintainprimary contact with clients. Prepareschedules to ensure projects are on time and within budget projections.
  • Determinetechnical and professional staffing needs; hire, train, manageand motivatepersonnel.
  • Establishand maintainquality and accuracy standards. Reviewand approvecomplete plans. Obtain approval of improvement plans and permitting by governing entities
  • Takean active role in new business development.
  • Help with project scope and preparation of technical writeups for proposals.
  • Overseeinvoicing and collection of payments from clients for assigned projects. Reviewand approveinvoices. Responsible for collecting outstanding receivables for jobs
  • SuperviseEngineers and Technicians as required. Workcooperatively with other managers and employees to achieve the company's mission.

Qualifications and Skills

  • BS in Civil Engineering.
  • PElicense in KY is required.
  • 15 or more years' experience or related experience.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communications.

Compensation Range:

$175,234.85 - $194,705.39
