Job description

NDT Trainee will assist the UT Level II Technician with the Ultrasonic Testing activities while gaining experience and knowledge.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
  • Assist technicians with setting up and tearing down of equipment
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks, calibrations, and overall upkeep of equipment and facilities.
  • Assist with proper documentation and reports on services provided.
  • Learn and abide by company policies and procedures.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • In-house plant/shop atmosphere.
  • Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and clients.
  • Working in plant and/or shop areas around other NDT inspection equipment and Forklifts moving parts around can cause elevated noise levels.
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • US Citizenship required due to contractual obligations
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read technical documents and engineering specifications is preferred.
  • Proven ability to follow precise directions and procedures.
  • Proven ability to adapt to an ever-changing schedule.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Working in a warehouse environment production machinery with extreme noise levels.
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 55 pounds.
