Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio and/or Michigan, or ability to obtain reciprocity

NRM is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to help lead and grow our engineering capabilities. This is more than a traditional project engineering role. We’re looking for someone who can combine strong technical expertise with team leadership, client relationships, and a business-minded approach to growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as Engineer of Record and provide technical oversight for civil engineering projects
  • Lead and review work involving site development, utilities, stormwater, roadways, and infrastructure
  • Help build the systems, processes, and quality standards needed to support a growing engineering practice
  • Lead projects from scope and proposal through permitting and delivery
  • Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities, developers, contractors, and partner firms
  • Represent NRM in client, regulatory, public, and stakeholder meetings
  • Mentor and develop team members while helping build a collaborative, high-performing engineering team
  • Contribute to business development, strategic planning, and the continued growth of NRM
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Active PE license in Ohio and/or Michigan, or the ability to obtain reciprocity
  • 7–10+ years of civil engineering experience, including project management
  • Strong knowledge of civil design, permitting, and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and manage multiple projects
  • Strong communication, client relationship, and business development skills

Experience in surveying, construction administration, municipal engineering, proposal development, or contract negotiation is a plus.
