About the Role

We are looking for a self-motivated staff engineer who is ready to learn, grow, and collaborate with like-minded professionals. This role is ideal for someone looking to advance, with opportunities for hands-on experience and close collaboration with experienced engineers.

We offer structured mentorship and encourage individual initiative. As your skills grow, you will take on greater responsibility in design, client interaction, and project leadership.


Salary: $70,000 โ€“ $110,000 (commensurate with experience)


What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Execute civil engineering design from concept through construction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Design wet utility and stormwater systems, including hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.
  • Develop grading, parking, and roadway plans.
  • Conduct field work and prepare technical reports.
  • Prepare design plans, specifications, and permit applications.
  • Participate in project meetings and public hearings as needed.
  • Create design drawings and exhibits using relevant software.
  • Support proposal development, change orders, and client communications.
  • For more experienced applicants: mentor junior staff, review work by others, and help manage project budgets and schedules.


What Weโ€™re Looking for

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering.
  • 2โ€“10 years of relevant experience (Project Engineer experience is a plus).
  • EIT certification or PE license in Vermont.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Technical writing proficiency.
  • Experience with site design, utilities, and permitting.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D software. HydroCAD experience preferred.
