Overview

Please note that this job posting is intended for you to express your interest in future opportunities within AtkinsRealis.

Responsible for overseeing the planning, design, construction, and integration of track-related infrastructure. Working as part of the delivery partner team, you will ensure that all track works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while coordinating with multiple stakeholders including contractors, consultants, and public agencies.

Your role

  • Lead and manage all track work, including ballasted, embedded, slab track, and switches & crossings.
  • Oversee design reviews and coordinate with consultants to ensure compliance with standards and interface requirements.
  • Respond to RFIs/TQs and provide clear technical guidance to contractors and field teams.
  • Support construction by resolving onsite issues and ensuring work aligns with approved designs and specifications.
  • Monitor daily construction progress, safety, quality, schedule, and interdiscipline coordination.
  • Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and ITPs.
  • Provide reporting, manage risks and issues, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and project requirements.

About you

  • Licensed P.Eng. with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Railway Engineering
  • 10+ years of rail infrastructure experience, including 5+ years in track construction or management.
  • Experience on LRT or major transit projects in Canada or similar jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of P3/AFP delivery models and strong understanding of AREMA, Transport Canada, and CSA standards.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills; PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
