What You'll Do
  • Support the planning and design of wastewater collection and treatment system projects.
  • Assist with engineering calculations, reports, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Support hydraulic and treatment process evaluations and engineering modeling activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Participate in field visits and construction observation activities.
  • Learn GBA design standards, engineering best practices, and quality processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
Education & Experience
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0+ years of relevant experience.
  • Passed the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam is preferred.
  • Completed introductory engineering coursework and some advanced design coursework in areas of desired specialty.

Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS software.
  • Utilize modeling software such as HEC-RAS, InfoWorks, GPS-X, PCSWMM, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for areas of desired specialty such as FEMA, EPA, and state and local regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.

Professional Skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a discipline team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
