Entry-level Civil Engineer


Anderson Bogert has an immediate opening for an Entry-level Civil Engineer.

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of civil engineering projects while developing technical design, project management, and client communication skills. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers and technical staff to help deliver high-quality infrastructure projects from planning through construction.

Duties

  • Assist with the planning and design of municipal, transportation, and site development projects
  • Prepare engineering calculations, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Develop technical reports, exhibits, and permit documents
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors
  • Assist with construction administration and field observation as projects are built
  • Participate in project meetings and collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and technical staff
  • Continue developing technical knowledge through mentorship and professional training

 

Basic Qualifications

ยท        Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering

ยท        E.I./E.I.T. registration or the ability to become registered within six months

ยท        Excellent communication and writing skills

ยท        Strong technical skills

ยท        Valid Iowa driverโ€™s license, and insurability approval by Anderson Bogertโ€™s insurance provider


Preferred Qualifications

  • 0 to 10 years of civil engineering experience through internships or full-time employment
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Familiarity with municipal infrastructure, transportation, or site development projects
