At H2M, weโ€™re more than just the services we provide; we are a team of almost 600 professionals with the knowledge, ability, and desire to create something truly impressive. We are seeking aย Staff Engineer with 0 to 4 years of experience to join our Civil Engineering Team.

Job Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer this candidate will:
  • Perform engineering design, including calculations and analysis associated with civil and site development projects.
  • Prepare site plan submissions to municipalities which will include demolition, site, grading, drainage, sanitary, roadway, and erosion control plans.
  • Prepare construction documents and specifications for municipal civil engineering projects.
  • Assist in preparing due diligence and site feasibility studies.
  • Assist with conducting research, performing site investigations, documenting field conditions, and preparing reports.
  • Respond to and address regulatory comments to obtain agency approvals.
  • Conduct field observations during construction and interact with contractors in support of project.
  • Work with civil teams in other offices and other H2M disciplines on multidiscipline projects.


Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in civil or environmental engineering or closely related discipline.
  • Strong computer skills including AutoCAD and Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Applications and Photoshop.
  • 0 to 4 years design experience with a specific focus on civil/site and municipal engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices of related technical areas.
  • Team-spirited and self-motivated.
  • Focused and eager to learn.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • EIT desired.

The salary range for this role is $76,500 - $90,000 annually.
