RRC is seeking a talented Civil Engineer II to help us build the future of U.S. energy production from our Austin/Round Rock Texas office. RRC is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm that specializes in energy projects, particularly renewable energy, throughout the United States. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop and review civil engineering designs for renewable energy projects, including site development, grading, drainage, and foundations. 
  • Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and simulations to optimize structural and civil components. 
  • Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry’s best practices. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to align project objectives and deliverables. 
  • Prepare engineering reports, technical documentation, and project summaries. 
  • Analyze survey, mapping, and materials-testing data to complete work assignments using computer modelling software 
  • Create and review drawings using CAD tools 
  • Ensure sites meet legal guidelines and health and safety requirements 
  • Deliver civil engineering designs and optimization in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and industry practices 
  • Day-to-day management of assigned projects 
  • Plan, define project tasks, schedule, and deliver on-time execution of civil scope of work and project deliverables 
  • Work closely with the RRC Project Managers and Civil Engineering Group Manager in the successful execution of work 
  • Be responsive to the needs of the client and project requirements 
  • Maintain accurate records of design modifications, field observations, and project milestones. 
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, standard operating procedures, and engineering guidelines. 
     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 
  • 3–5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in renewable energy, infrastructure, or related industries. 
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe. 
  • Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, etc.). 
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials. 
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
