Job description

Cityworks Senior Analyst 

Location: Florida residency required, 90 percent remote, but periodic in office (400 South Fort Harrison Ave, Clearwater, FL 33756), including a monthly mandatory meeting

Pinellas County relies on Cityworks AMS to manage critical public infrastructure and assets across our community. We're looking for a Cityworks Analyst who's excited to support and grow the platform-partnering with customers, solving problems, and turning data into decisions that keep the County running smoothly. What would you do?

Product support & ownership 

  • Provide day to day support for Cityworks AMS (core, extensions, and connected services), triage incidents, and resolve issues with empathy and urgency. 

  • Configure and administer Cityworks, including security, roles, permissions, and workflows; ensure stable operations and a great user experience.  

  • Support Cityworks Mobile and related field applications; troubleshoot device/app issues and streamline workflows for crews in the field.  

Build & extend capabilities 

  • Create and maintain templates, work orders, service requests, inspections, and asset hierarchies to meet evolving business needs. 

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into Cityworks configurations that improve efficiency and data quality.  

GIS integrations & data integrity 

  • Partner with GIS teams to maintain ArcGIS/Esri integrations, ensure spatial data integrity, and support asset management mapping and analysis. 

  • Use ETL tools (e.g., FME/SSIS) to move and transform data reliably between systems.  

Reliability, security & quality 

  • Automate routine tasks and checks with Python; contribute to test scripts, documentation, and change management for safe, smooth releases. 

  • Collaborate with platform, security, and cloud teams (e.g., AWS) to keep the environment healthy and secure.  

Reporting & analytics 

  • Write performant SQL and develop operational reports and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, SSRS) that help customers monitor work and make decisions.  

What do you need to have? 

Education: degree in information technology, computer science, computer technology or related degree

Experience: Hands on experience supporting Cityworks AMS (or similar COTS asset/work management platforms). Strong SQL skills for queries and optimization; familiarity with indexes and stored procedures. Working knowledge of ArcGIS/Esri and managing GIS driven assets and relationships. Clear, friendly communication with both technical and nontechnical users; strong documentation habits.

Seven (7) years of technical and professional experience as described above and including at least one (1) year of customer service and professional team leadership or supervision; OR an Associate's degree as described above and five (5) years of experience as described above; OR a Bachelor's degree as described above and three (3) years of experience as described above; or; an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.  

Nice to have (Preferred) 

  • Experience with AWS services supporting COTS applications.  

  • Reporting tools such as Power BI and SSRS (and familiarity with legacy tools if needed).  

  • Python scripting for automation, data wrangling, and troubleshooting.  

  • Experience with ETL and data pipelines (e.g., FME, SSIS) and integrating Cityworks with other systems.  

  • REST APIs/JSON for integrations; basic version control (Git).
