Laundry Attendant

Position Summary


The Laundry Attendant plays an essential role in supporting hotel operations by ensuring a consistent supply of clean, high-quality linens, towels, and uniforms for both hotels. This position is responsible for processing laundry efficiently while maintaining quality standards, organization, and safety throughout the laundry facility.


The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities


Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items.

Maintain an adequate inventory of clean linens to support daily hotel operations.

Operate commercial washers, dryers, and laundry equipment safely and efficiently.

Inspect linens for stains, damage, and overall quality, following established recovery and discard procedures.

Fold, stack, organize, and store clean linens according to hotel standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry work area.

Monitor laundry supplies and notify leadership when inventory requires replenishment.

Follow all safety procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and equipment operating standards.

Support Housekeeping operations as needed.

Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications


Required:


High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with guests and fellow associates.

Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Professional appearance and positive attitude.


Preferred:


Previous hotel laundry or housekeeping experience.

Experience operating commercial laundry equipment.

Valid driver's license.


Schedule Requirements


Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays based on business needs.

Hotel operations run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.

Minimum availability of 16 hours per week required for part-time associates.


Physical Requirements


Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with prolonged exposure to heat, humidity, and commercial laundry equipment.

May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures.
