Job description

Position Summary:
The Groundskeeper is responsible include for cleaning and upkeep of the property’s interior and exterior buildings and grounds. The Groundskeeper may also assist the maintenance team with work orders, moving furniture, and unloading/storing supplies; assist with pool maintenance; and be responsible for pressure washing. You may be required to participate in the on-call rotation including evening and weekends in this position.

What You’ll Do:
  • Clean up trash from around the property dumpster(s) or trash chute(s), always ensuring a clean and tidy appearance.
  • Clean the pool area and arrange pool furniture.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the leasing office and all amenity and common areas ensuring general cleanliness of grounds, laundry rooms, walkways, streets, driveways, parking lots, entrances, foyers, breezeways, recreational areas, etc. Perform exterior building light checks and assist with repairs and replacement of lights.
  • Complete trash out of vacated apartments designated by supervisor and prepare unit for make-ready. Complete carpet repairs and clean and shampoo carpet as needed.
  • Complete minor repairs to walls, doors, wood trim, closets and cabinets and ready for painting.
  • Report major repair or cleaning problems to management (ex. HVAC, large sheet rock damage, etc).
  • Re-key master locks and make keys available for leasing prior to move-in.
What You’ll Bring:
  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Ability to work well with others and as part of a team. Ability to take direction and work independently.
  • Previous groundskeeper/porter experience helpful, but not required.
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance, make-ready of unit duties (trash out, cleaning amp; painting), housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
