About The Role
The Residential Sales Account Manager is responsible for identifying leads and creating business relations, inside and outside of the company, with existing and prospective customers. Works with Residential Sales Manager to ensure customer satisfaction, to cultivate loyalty via excellent follow ­up at all stages and aspects of the sales cycle.
The Residential Sales Account Manager is instrumental in establishing and maintaining long-term relationships and communication channels with customers. Must have a well-developed professional phone presence and high comfort level in initiating conversations. In addition to a sociable and positive personality, he/she must be a self-starter, seeker, and proactive problem solver, since not every day is the same and the work dynamic is constantly changing
What You’ll Do
1. Seek, cultivate, and manage customer relationships, inside and outside the company.
2. Utilize sales reports and other data to recognize
3. sales opportunities in customer buying patterns.
4. Create a cold call list and make cold calls to prospective customers.
5. Follow sales leads and schedule appointments with prospective customers.
6. Follow up with customers and provide solutions if product concern arises.
7. Provide training to customers and their teams on various product lines and services of our company.
8. Assist customers in the credit application process.
9. Serve as the first line of contact in the preparation of sales quotes and bid requirements.
10. Maintain quality prospecting calls on a continual basis including cold calls and in-person visitation.
11. Complete and deliver all required paperwork, expense reports, sales pipelines, forecasts, and contracts as required by the company policy and management.
12. Record and maintain all information, appointments, and opportunity information in the CRM system.
13. Represent and present company products at trade shows, events, and other speaking engagements.
14. May need to travel overnight, as necessary, and attend all trade shows, sales events, and sales meetings.
15. Provide a detailed report of quotes not converted into actual orders, when requested.
16. Other duties and special projects as the need arises.
Experience Requirements:
1. 3-5 years' experience in sales, new construction and/or commercial projects is preferred.
2. Some knowledge of building materials, building process, and local building codes.
3. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite Applications.
4. Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
5. Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
6. Superior time management and organization skills.
7. Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs.
8. Relationship management skills and openness to feedback and coaching.
9. Numerical abilities and problem-solving attitude.
10. Professional appearance and demeanor.
11. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Training amp; Education:
1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, business management, or related field or
a combination of education and work experience.
2. Any formal training or education that demonstrates expertise in sales or customer engagement is
strongly preferred:
a. Certified Inside Sales Professional (CISP).
b. Certified Professional Sales Person (CPSP).
c. Certified Sales Leadership Professional (CSLP).
d. HubSpot Inbound Sales.
e. RISE Up Sales.
3. Familiarity with sales tools and other related software.
4. Must have valid driver's license, own reliable transportation, be able to pass MVR check, and
vehicle insurance must meet company's requirements.
