Job Description

The ideal candidate will have architect level experience with enterprise Wi-Fi (Cisco WLC) along with operations level experience with F5 Load Balancers (LTM/GTM). Also important, we are ideally seeking some data center experience with a specific focus on the Cisco Nexus product line and associated protocols.


Cisco WiFi Specialist Job Details

  • Work closely with senior Network Engineering resources and participate in the implementation and maintenance related to new and ongoing projects.
  • Maintain network equipment and respond to maintenance and escalations as required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across multiple technologies.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for the Network Operations team.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation in accordance with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Initiate, participate in and follow up on network change management events
  • Must understand the scope, cost of decisions, and the potential impact those decisions could have.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of IT related technical experience in the field of Networking
  • Experienced with complex enterprise environments
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a larger team
  • A University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering. A Computer Systems Technology Diploma/Certificate with equivalent experience would also be considered
  • Design experience with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and enterprise Wi-Fi deployments
  • Experience designing and implementing office and campus LAN/WAN infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of Cisco IOS/NX-OS/IOS-XE and related hardware (Nexus 7000/5000/2000, ASR1000 Series, Catalyst 6500/4500)
  • In-depth understanding and experiencing implementing IP routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
  • Experience with F5 BIG-IP appliances
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other infrastructure teams
Additional Information
  • Experience implementing and supporting Cisco Data Center technologies including VPC, and VDC and Fabricpath
  • Experience with Cisco ISE, PRIME, and ACS is considered an asset
  • Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls is considered an asset
  • Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls is considered an asset
