About the Team

CIM Technicians provide technical support for production PCs, scanners, label printers, network infrastructure and other production IT equipment. CIM Technicians assist with line moves, engineering builds, and other cross-functional initiatives.  

What you can look forward to as a CIM Technician:
  • Under minimal supervision, performs preventative and predictive maintenance on Production IT PCs, scanners, label printers, vision systems, and ESD Gates.
  • Supports phone system by installing hardware and resolving issues.
  • Identifies, documents, and works to improve system reliability in area of responsibility. Aim - increase Mean Time Between Failures, reduce Mean Time To Repair.
  • Performs Root-Cause Analysis to implement effective corrective actions and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Understands how Production IT and CIM processes integrate with manufacturing equipment across the plant.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs computers, scanners, network connections, network switches, label printers and test equipment.
  • Understands CAD drawings and can plan network drops accordingly.
  • Prepare, install, and test network connections for line moves and new equipment deployment.
  • Knowledgeable of stock room lay-out, and is able to requisition parts, tools, etc..
  • Use PCS and Tree View to troubleshoot process issues across the plant.
  • Documents and Evaluates current procedures with the aim of improving them.
  • Responds promptly to production calls, quickly identify and resolve issues to reduce downtime.
  • Utilizes the following equipment in the troubleshooting and repair process: fluke network, network punch-down tools, hand and power tools.
  • Mechanical assembly/disassembly of label printers to remove and replace hardware.
  • Responsible that all PM's get done on time and avoid delinquent work orders.
  • Take ownership of PM Activities and provide feedback about improvements to schedule, frequencies and procedures based on quantitative data.
  • Support line moves and continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures.
Your Profile as a CIM Technician:
  • AS Technical degree in related field with 2 years related experience; or High School Diploma or GED with 7 years experience; or BS technical degree in related field with 1-year related experience.
  • Must be willing to work 11:00pm - 7:30am (3rd shift).
  • Proficient at troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems and CIM MES systems.
  • Demonstrated in-depth computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic mechanics, electronics and pneumatics.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with personal computing software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.).
