Staff Pharmacist Manager – Second Shift

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM Career Track: Management Job Family Group: Operations / Clinical

Position Summary

The Staff Pharmacist Manager is accountable for second‑shift manual dispensing operations within a high‑volume, automated home delivery pharmacy environment. This role achieves business results through people, providing oversight and leadership to licensed pharmacists and pharmacy technicians while ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient pharmacy operations.

Leadership Competencies & Core Responsibilities

Accountability & Ownership

  • Accountable for second‑shift pharmacy performance, safety, quality, and compliance
  • Owns daily production results, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of operational metrics
  • Holds self and team members accountable for meeting performance expectations and regulatory standards

People Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of licensed pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
  • Execute performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, feedback, and corrective action
  • Support onboarding, ongoing training, and development to build capability, engagement, and bench strength
  • Create a respectful, inclusive, and high‑performance culture aligned to Cigna values

Customer‑Centric & Patient‑Focused Approach

  • Ensure pharmacy operations support safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Active and in good standing Indiana Pharmacist License or willingness to obtain Indiana licensure within six (6) months of hire
  • Prior experience leading, supervising, or influencing teams
  • Experience in a fulfillment center a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work second shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM), Monday through Friday

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
