We are seeking a dependable and detail oriented Assembler to join our production support team. The Assembler will be responsible for assembling, installing, and testing various parts of boats, including hulls, decks, engines, and other essential systems. Your role will ensure the boats are built to high-quality standards and are ready for use by customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assemble boats according to detailed specifications, including installing decks, hulls, engines, mechanical systems, and electrical components.
  • Install and secure various boat parts, such as seats, controls, fuel systems, and electrical wiring.
  • Ensure that all boat components are correctly aligned, sealed, and secured to meet safety and performance standards.
  • Conduct routine quality checks during the assembly process to ensure parts are functioning correctly and meet company standards.
  • Work with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues that may arise.
  • Test assembled boats to verify their performance, including engine functionality, steering, electrical systems, and safety equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to boat parts as needed during the assembly process.
  • Follow safety procedures and adhere to safety standards when operating tools and machinery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to ensure timely completion of assembly projects.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in boat assembly or a similar mechanical assembly role, preferably in the marine industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with tools and machinery.
  • Knowledge of boat components, including engines, hulls, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, precise work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.
  • Basic understanding of safety standards in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy components, including boat parts and tools up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools and perform assembly tasks.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces or awkward positions when assembling certain boat components.


Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm, with occasional weekend assignments.


This role is based in a boat manufacturing or repair facility. The work environment may involve exposure to chemicals and fumes, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
