Community Health Workers (CHWs) are frontline public health professionals who serve as a bridge between communities and healthcare systems. They help individuals access health services, provide health education, and advocate for their community’s needs. CHWs often have deep knowledge of the communities they serve and work to improve health outcomes by addressing social, behavioral, and medical needs. Their roles can include outreach, informal counseling, social support, and connecting people to resources.

Job description

Pear Suite is an early-stage digital health company building software for community-based care. Our care navigation platform equips community health workers, doulas, care navigators, and the organizations that support them with tools to collect, visualize, and act on social determinants of health data. We help community-based organizations, health systems, and government-funded care programs deliver more coordinated, person-centered care.

Why Pear Suite?

We’re a mission-driven team committed to health equity and innovation in community-based care. You’ll thrive here if you’re eager to take initiative, value autonomy, and enjoy building structure where none exists. Join us to build scalable, human-centered technology that empowers frontline workers and improves lives across the U.S.

About the role

As Community Marketing Specialist, you'll own the development of Pear Suite's Community Health Worker (CHW) community across the entire customer lifecycle, from acquisition and activation to retention and engagement. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Customer Success, and Sales to create meaningful experiences for CHWs, the community-based organizations (CBOs) they work within, and the payers and healthcare organizations we partner with.

What you'll do

Community Growth & Acquisition

  • Develop and execute acquisition strategies across organic, referral, partnership, influencer sourcing, and paid channels
  • Grow strategic segments aligned with business priorities, including Community Health Workers (CHWs), community-based organizations (CBOs), payers, and healthcare organizations
  • Manage CHW sourcing initiatives and optimize acquisition performance through data-driven insights
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and community health behaviors to continuously improve acquisition strategy

Customer Engagement & Lifecycle Marketing

  • Partner with Marketing Communications to build and optimize activation, education, and retention strategies across the CHW journey
  • Manage CRM lifecycle campaigns in HubSpot to onboard, activate, educate, and re-engage CHW customers
  • Develop community initiatives that activate ambassadors through webinars, newsletters, events, and educational campaigns

Meaningful Social Media Content

  • Partner with Communications on creative social media strategies that support community growth and engagement
  • Co-create CHW-focused campaigns across acquisition, education, and activation, leveraging compelling community storytelling across social channels
  • Align community initiatives, CRM lifecycle campaigns, and social media content to maximize CHW engagement and business impact

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to channel community feedback into product improvements and meaningful new features
  • Produce community insights, reports, and recommendations to support business decisions

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in community management, influencer marketing, CRM, or growth marketing. Experience building community in music, entertainment, hospitality, or for national consumer brands like Starbucks is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of influencer marketing, social media platforms, and community engagement strategies
  • Hands‑on experience with HubSpot, including CRM, lifecycle marketing, email marketing, and reporting
  • Data‑driven mindset, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Strong oral presentation and communication skills
  • Super‑agile, self‑motivated, and capable of working remotely with limited oversight
  • Passion for community health, impact, artificial intelligence, and digital marketing
  • Share an ambition for building cultures, movements, and brands you can be passionate about
  • Bachelor's degree required in related fields

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the tools we use: Slack, Google Workspace, Claude, Adobe, and Canva
  • Familiarity with community health or social determinants of health (SDOH) landscape
  • MBA or degree in Business, Advertising, or Marketing

Benefits and Perks

  • A mission driven culture that values innovation, collaboration and growth
  • Equity: participation in an early-stage company
  • Fully Remote
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Comprehensive Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Health and Wellness Stipend
  • Co‑working Stipend
  • Education and professional development allowance ($1,500 annually)
  • Home office setup stipend

Compensation

  • The salary range for this role is $80,000-$95,000.
