Job description

Primary Job Function:
Responsible for the direction of outside drivers and the distribution/collection of appropriate paperwork. Send Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) to customer which determines delivery rating. Assist Analyst with shipping issues. Support FCA/Chrysler Smart and Ford DDL system. Miscellaneous office responsibilities. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management. Regular attendance is required.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  1. Delivery rating (Responsibilities and decisions effect Thai Summit’s Q1 delivery rating).
  1. Timely entry of all ASN confirmations per designation of customer requirement.
I. Complete knowledge of what measures need to be taken in regards to a system failure and continuing to meet customer requirements, ie: capability to use Ford DDL system for entry of ASN’s, creating Advance Tech ship notifications (accurately completing Advance Tech paperwork including ship to, part number, cums total, po number, etc.), faxing and contacting appropriate system support personnel.
  1. Address shipping issues from customers to determine customer demand amp; calculate needed requirements.
  1. Change and enter information in ERP/MRP for picklist.
  2. Schedule expedites if needed.
  3. Contact customers amp; dispatchers for route and part changes.
  1. Answering FCA/Chrysler Smart system.
4. Create General Shippers as required.
  1. Process export documentation as required for overseas shipments including the following:
  1. Create known shippers certificate.
  2. Create export Invoice.
  3. Fax to appropriate parties (ie: broker and/or customer).
  1. UPS Shipments (creation of shipments, end of day reports, history maintenance).
  2. Print and distribute picklists daily.
  3. Create and maintain shipping log daily.
  4. Order office supplies.
  5. Miscellaneous office support.
5. Immense attention to detail in regards to what, how and when parts are shipped. No matter
the situation parts must still move and the paperwork must follow
6. Contact with diverse personnel from managers to associates to truck drivers, working on
the shipping docks.
7. Report to Technical Analyst/Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Well-developed typing skills and personal computer experience required (MS Office – Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of multiple computers systems (ERP/MRP system, Ford DDL, FCA/Chrysler Smart, GroupWise, Internet).
  • Knowledge of shipping/receiving/accounting procedures preferred.
  • Be able to communicate both orally and in written form in a highly professional manner.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, perform under pressure situations, work with minimal supervision and make confident decisions pertaining to modification of truck shipments.
Internal Training Requirements:
  • New hire orientation.
  • Benefits orientation.
  • Microsoft Office suite.
Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements:
  • Ability to walk, sit or stand for extensive periods of time.
  • Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to work and look at a computer for 8 hours a day.
