Job description

URGENT HIRING – Florida Licensed Psychologists (PhD / PsyD)

Juvenile Justice (DJJ) Evaluation Provider | 1099 Independent Contractor

Flexible Schedule • High Per-Evaluation Compensation • Statewide Florida Opportunities • Immediate Openings

Chrysalis Health is actively seeking Florida-licensed Psychologists (PhD/PsyD) to conduct psychological, forensic, and court-related evaluations for youth referred through the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ).

Due to increased referral volume, we have immediate statewide opportunities available, with particularly high demand in several Florida regions. This position is ideal for psychologists who enjoy assessment-focused work, value professional autonomy, and want to make a meaningful impact without the responsibilities of ongoing therapy, treatment planning, or caseload management.

Whether you operate a private practice, work in a hospital setting, conduct forensic evaluations, or are seeking supplemental income through flexible contract work, this opportunity allows you to leverage your assessment expertise while maintaining control of your schedule.

Position Highlights

  • Flexible scheduling based on your availability

  • Independent Contractor (1099) opportunity

  • Competitive per-evaluation compensation

  • Consistent referral volume

  • No ongoing therapy or treatment responsibilities

  • Administrative support provided

  • Opportunities available throughout Florida

  • Meaningful work supporting at-risk youth and the juvenile justice system

What You'll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological, forensic, and diagnostic evaluations for youth involved with the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ)

  • Review clinical records, collateral information, legal documentation, and prior assessments

  • Develop diagnostic impressions and clinical recommendations

  • Complete professional, court-ready evaluation reports

  • Collaborate with referral sources as needed to support evaluation outcomes

Flexible Evaluation Locations

Psychologists may conduct evaluations in the setting that best fits their professional practice and schedule, including:

  • A Chrysalis Health office location (available in select Florida counties)

  • Their own private practice office

  • Onsite at Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) facilities

This flexibility allows providers to seamlessly integrate evaluations into their existing practice while creating additional income opportunities without disrupting their current workload.

Compensation

  • Highly competitive per-evaluation compensation

  • Independent Contractor (1099)

  • Consistent referral volume and ongoing evaluation opportunities

  • Additional evaluation types may be available based on experience and expertise

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Florida Psychologist license (PhD or PsyD)

  • Experience conducting psychological evaluations, forensic assessments, diagnostic testing, court-related evaluations, or juvenile assessments preferred

  • Ability to conduct in-person evaluations

  • Strong assessment, report writing, and documentation skills

  • Ability to complete evaluations and reports within established timeframes

Why Join Chrysalis Health?

  • Established behavioral health organization with longstanding Department of Juvenile Justice partnerships

  • Dedicated administrative support to streamline scheduling and coordination

  • Flexible workload that complements private practice, hospital, academic, consulting, or forensic work

  • Opportunity to utilize advanced assessment skills in a specialized setting

  • Purpose-driven work that directly influences treatment planning and outcomes for vulnerable youth

  • Statewide opportunities with ongoing referral needs
