George Fox University's College of Nursing is seeking an adjunct CRNA faculty member who is enthusiastic about working in the hybrid DNP CRNA program, and preparing CRNA's to work in a variety of settings throughout Oregon with a focus on rural practice. Candidates should be versed in principles of enhanced recovery, USGRA and opioid reduced anesthetic techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience working in CRNA education and have a passion for serving vulnerable populations and underserved communities.

About the Job:

This is an adjunct teaching position in the CRNA program in the College of Nursing. This position will teach CRNA didactic anesthesia content. This position works closely with and reports to the CRNA Program Director. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Teach CRNA courses.
• Participate in immersion sessions at the simulation center.
• Provide guidance and support to students to problem solve and discuss pertinent issues.
• Demonstrate professional skills and interactions that support the mission and vision of the CRNA program and the university.
• Teach courses in alignment with the university's mission and learning objectives.
• Develop and implement effective instructional strategies that promote student engagement.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
• Utilize the university's learning management system (Canvas) for course management.
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to university policies.
• Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
• By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
• Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect, appreciation and humility.
• Other duties as assigned.

We're Looking for Candidates Who Have:

• An active unencumbered Oregon APRN license.
• A current CRNA certification from NBCRNA or licensed anesthesia provider.
• An earned masters or doctoral degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
• Experience in teaching and learning principles for adult education.
• Current knowledge of CRNA practice and related professional issues.
• Minimum five years of full time equivalent CRNA clinical experience.
• Must demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
