Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our team at Christian Family Care & Counseling Services. This full-time, remote position offers an exciting opportunity to provide individualized mental health support and therapy while contributing to the emotional well-being of our community in Springfield, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop personalized treatment plans that address clients’ unique needs.
  • Offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, as well as one-on-one counseling with individuals, families, and couples to enhance relational dynamics and emotional stability.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all client interactions are well-recorded.
  • Participate in continuous learning opportunities and professional development workshops to stay abreast of the latest research and trends in mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse array of clients, including children, adults, and families who often struggle with limited access to mental health resources. The clinic serves individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and relational issues. Your ability to connect with clients from different backgrounds will be essential in fostering a trusting and therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
  • An active and unrestricted LCPC license in the state of Illinois.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.
Preferred Experience

While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, the following qualifications are highly preferred:

  • Experience specializing in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse.

Compensation and Benefits
