Job description


Review, analyze and rate new business submissions in accordance with company guidelines. Review and process endorsements and provide customer service.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesReview, quote and process new business submissions, renewal policies and endorsements with approval. Review and process terminations. Audit policies for accuracy and completeness of information on the application. Negotiate and build relationships with brokers. Order DMV/Choicepoint records as required and maintain logs; Maintain underwriting files.

QualificationsCarrier experience with consisting of 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area OR 6 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area. For-hire industry exposure is a plus. Strong knowledge of and practice in both Workers Compensation and Automobile lines of business. Superior skills in customer service, relationship building, active listening, needs analysis, and win-win negotiation. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques and guidelines.
Computer literacy, including functional knowledge of Microsoft Office.
