How much do chiropractic md jobs pay per year?

As of Jul 23, 2026, the average yearly pay for chiropractic md in the United States is $85,646.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $76,500.00 and $93,500.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

Why do doctors discourage chiropractors?

Medical doctors often discourage chiropractors due to concerns about the lack of scientific evidence supporting some chiropractic treatments and potential risks associated with spinal manipulations. They may also prefer evidence-based medical approaches for certain conditions and emphasize the importance of comprehensive patient care. Collaboration between healthcare providers can improve patient outcomes, but skepticism remains in some medical circles regarding chiropractic practices.

Can a chiropractor also be an MD?

A chiropractor is a healthcare professional who specializes in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal issues through manual therapy, but they are not medical doctors (MDs). Becoming an MD requires completing medical school, residency, and obtaining a medical license, which are separate from chiropractic training. Chiropractors and MDs have different education paths, certifications, and scope of practice.

Can a chiropractor do lymphatic drainage?

Chiropractic MDs typically focus on musculoskeletal issues and spinal adjustments; lymphatic drainage is usually performed by licensed massage therapists or specialized practitioners such as lymphedema therapists. Chiropractors may incorporate techniques that support lymphatic health, but they are not generally trained to perform manual lymphatic drainage as a primary treatment.
