Job description

MINO Automation USA Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Planning & Logistics Coordinator in Auburn Hills, Michigan to support material planning, inventory control, warehouse operations, and supply-chain coordination between MINO US and MINO China.

This position manages material requirements planning (MRP), monitors inventory and purchase orders, coordinates deliveries and shipments, and ensures materials are available for production, installation, and project activities. The ideal candidate is organized, data-driven, and able to communicate effectively across departments and regions.


Duties and Responsibilities

Material Planning and Supply Coordination

  • Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production schedules, customer orders, inventory levels, and procurement lead times.
  • Monitor material availability and adjust plans based on changes in demand, production, or project schedules.
  • Identify shortages and supply risks and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Track purchase orders, delivery dates, and shipment status with Purchasing and other stakeholders.
  • Follow up on delayed or at-risk materials to minimize impacts on production and project schedules.

U.S. and China Coordination

  • Serve as a key point of contact between MINO US and the MINO China Material Planning team.
  • Coordinate BOM information, material requirements, inventory needs, production schedules, and shipment plans.
  • Communicate material changes, shortages, shipment priorities, and schedule adjustments promptly.
  • Support effective cross-regional communication and material flow.

Cross-Functional and Project Support

  • Work closely with Material Control, Purchasing, Project, Installation, Warehouse, and other internal teams.
  • Align material readiness with production schedules, installation activities, and project milestones.
  • Help resolve material issues that may affect project execution or installation progress.

Warehouse and Inventory Control

  • Support receiving, storage, material issuing, picking, packing, inventory counting, and outbound shipments.
  • Maintain organized materials and accurate inventory records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and safety stock to balance material availability and cost.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist with corrective actions.
  • Support improvements to warehouse, inventory-control, and material-handling procedures.

Data Management and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate material master data, inventory records, and related system information.
  • Prepare inventory, shortage, material usage, and production material-matching reports.
  • Analyze inventory turnover, shortages, excess inventory, material usage, and planning performance.
  • Track key planning and inventory metrics and recommend process improvements.
  • Provide timely and accurate data to support planning, project execution, and management decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English required.
  • Experience in material planning, logistics, purchasing, warehouse operations, inventory control, or supply chain preferred.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, production planning, and inventory management preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a cross-functional, international environment.
  • Experience in manufacturing, automation, automotive, or project-based environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of warehouse receiving, shipping, inventory counting, and material-control procedures preferred.
