Job description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Pediatric Interventional Cardiology physician with 35 years of post-fellowship experience to join our growing Heart Center team. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career interventional cardiologist to contribute to a rapidly expanding, high-acuity program while working alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing pediatric cardiovascular care.

At Driscoll Childrens Hospital, you will be part of a forward-thinking cardiac program that provides comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents with complex congenital heart disease. This role offers strong clinical volume, advanced procedural exposure, and the opportunity to grow within a supportive clinical environment.

Driscoll Heart Center has 35 dedicated CICU beds, 2 CV ORs, and 2 state of the art Cath labs, one of which is a hybrid catheterization lab. In 2025 we had over 500 Cardiac admissions to the CICU, 241 index cardiac cases and greater than 300 catheterization and hybrid cases. We have robust interventional volume including adult congenital. We have a hospital approved strategic plan to double the volume over the next five years.

Driscoll Heart Center provides pediatric congenital heart care to 7 practice sites across Texas. The center participates in STS, PC4, and C3PO.

Requirements:

  • MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification in Pediatric Cardiology.
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Interventional Cardiology.
  • 3-5 years post fellowship experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pediatric heart disease management, including catheter-based interventions.
