Job description

Opportunity Details
Position Title: BC Psychiatrist needed for Growing Programs
Location: Augusta, GA
The Center provides comprehensive care for both children and adolescent populations with psychological issues, as well as adults facing psychiatric and substance abuse challenges. Beyond its clinical offerings, Lighthouse Care Center supports patient recovery with recreational activities and an accredited on-campus school, promoting wellness through physical activity and social interaction.
Position Overview:
    • Role: Full-time psychiatrist, Leadership position available

    • Patient Population: Child/Adolescent and Adult populations

    • Schedule: 5 days a week, daytime hours.

    • Weekend Coverage: 1:4 Saturday/Sunday in-person rounding.

    • Weekday Call: One evening call shift per week by phone only.

    • Employment Type: Full-time employed or 1099 position options. RTC/Inpatient/Outpatient mix, ideally child-adult populations

  • Additional earnings potential: Extra call options and Productivity Bonus Plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for child and adolescent patients.
  • Participate in daily treatment team meetings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
  • Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines.
  • Supervision of NPs

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary with Productivity Bonus potentia for full-time W-2.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including malpractice insurance, paid time off, CME package for full-time W-2
  • Relocation assistance and/or sign-on bonuses are available for full-time W-2.
  • Competitive rates for 1099.

Qualifications:
    • Education: M.D./D.O. with Board Certification in General Psychiatry, BC in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry a plus.

    • Training: Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency and Child/Adolescent fellowship program a plus.

    • Licensure: Georgia medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years post fellowship preferred. Willing and experienced treating ages 12 and older.
