Job Type: Full-Time, 10 month contract

Compensation: $25 - $30 hourly

What will you be doing?

As a Speech Assistant, you will work side-by-side with a Speech Language Pathologist and families to provide support and promote the development of children. Responsibilities include:

• Completing follow through on each child’s speech goals.

• Assisting speech and language therapist with implementation.
• Planning and implementing programming based on the needs of the child.
• Effectively communicating and building a relationship with children and families.
• Collaborate with day care team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience working in the child care field or in a position with children who have diverse learning or developmental delays
• Excellent communication skills
• Access to a reliable vehicle and a driver’s license
• Must meeting province requirements for childcare employment
• CPR & First Aid certification

• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
