Job description

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Chief of Pediatric Rheumatology in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Chief will be in charge of strategic planning, faculty development and ensuring high-quality, patient- and family-centered care. They will oversee the diagnosis and treatment of children with autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders in addition to advancing excellence in clinical care, research, education and program development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic direction, growth, and operational oversight of the Pediatric Rheumatology Division
  • Recruit, mentor and evaluate physicians and advanced practice providers
  • Participate in departmental leadership meetings and hospital initiatives
  • Develop and implement policies, clinical pathways and performance improvement plans
  • Provide expert diagnosis and management of pediatric patients with rheumatic diseases
  • Oversee inpatient and outpatient rheumatology services
  • Foster multidisciplinary collaboration with other pediatric subspecialists, nursing, rehabilitation and social services

Qualifications:
  • MD or DO
  • Board certified in specialty
  • Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
