Job description

Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift


Compensation:
$75,000 – $75,000 base salary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing and motivating production teams
  • Lean manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred


Position Overview

The Production Supervisor oversees larger and more complex teams responsible for multiple production activities in a high-speed manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring production targets are met while maintaining safety, quality, and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set performance goals and objectives for team members and monitor progress
  • Make staffing decisions and evaluate team performance
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed
  • Supervise day-to-day activities of multi-line or complex production operations
  • Monitor productivity and implement performance improvements
  • Lead shift meetings, review production progress, and address delays or issues
  • Develop and implement team improvement plans
  • Promote teamwork, safety awareness, and professional development
  • Enforce compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Coordinate work schedules to ensure efficient operations
  • Maintain working knowledge of production processes and equipment
  • Troubleshoot complex operational or production issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, including supervisory experience in a high-speed, high-volume production environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred


Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of production operations and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or 6S
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
