We work with growing companies to provide oversight of information technology strategy, systems, and processes required to support a company's mission.  Because these companies are not ready to hire a full-time Chief Information Officer (CIO) to ensure the tech systems and procedures lead to outcomes in line with business goals, they outsource that to us.  Our clients say we help demystify technology by removing their fears and creating business value through technology, so they can focus on their business.

Job Description
  • Lead projects that evaluate new technology ideas and develop them into differentiated new products within the Donaldson Innovation Process framework.
  • Work with the Business Units to develop Business Hypotheses that show how new products will provide value to our customers and to Donaldson.
  • Develop project plans that provide a roadmap for the products being developed, including development of the business hypothesis, proving product feasibility, product testing, manufacturing development and product launch.
  • Ensure that we establish and maintain IP protection for our new products and technologies, utilizing established Donaldson processes for documenting inventions and patenting new technologies.
  • Work with other Corporate Technology groups, Business Units and Donaldson Manufacturing Plants in developing new technologies and manufacturing methods.
  • Support the achievement of Corporate Technology performance metrics and initiatives.
  • Travel 5-10%.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design and development of technology or products.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate well at all levels
  • Experience working in a process-based system.  Experience with a stage gate process is helpful.
  • Experience in interfacing directly with product end-users
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Comfortable in making decisions and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Project Management experience, with proven results. MS Project experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in New Product Innovation
  • Business/Financial Experience
  • Understanding of filtration technology - applications, design, theory and principles
  • Experience in interfacing with complete value chain - suppliers, dealers, OEMs
  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Business
  • PMP Certification
