Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the financial operations of our growing real estate development and property management division.

In this leadership role, you will drive financial strategy, capital allocation, risk management, and financial reporting across our portfolio, with a primary focus on high-rise residential construction projects and residential property management in New Jersey and the tri-state area. You will partner closely with the executive team to optimize cash flow, secure project financing, and support long-term regional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for high-rise residential construction and property management operations.

  • Manage capital structure, debt financing, equity investments, and banking relationships specific to real estate development and construction.

  • Direct project accounting, job costing, WIP (Work in Progress) reporting, and revenue recognition for multi-million dollar residential tower developments.

  • Implement effective tax strategies, risk management, and regulatory compliance across local, state (NJ/NY), and federal real estate frameworks.

  • Supervise lease accounting, property-level financials, capital reserves, and NOI optimization for residential rental/condo portfolios.

  • Provide strategic executive counsel on land acquisitions, feasibility models, joint ventures, and capital deployment.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive financial leadership, with at least 5+ years as a CFO, VP of Finance, or Controller in Property Management and Residential Construction.

  • Domain Expertise: Proven track record with high-rise tower construction or large-scale multi-family residential developments.

  • Regional Knowledge: Deep familiarity with New Jersey and tri-state real estate markets, construction financing, and tax/regulatory environments.

  • Skills: Strong expertise in job-costing software, real estate ERPs (e.g., Yardi, Timberline/Sage 300, MRI), financial modeling, and debt/equity structuring.
