Job Summary:
Mondelēz International is a leading company in the snacking industry, seeking a Chief Data Scientist to drive business growth through data science initiatives. The role involves developing strategies, leading a team of data scientists, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that align with the company's objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of key focus areas in data science, develop strategies and define clear roadmaps to bring these to life, in partnership with senior executives across the Enterprise
• Engage executive-level stakeholders and translate business problems into solution concepts with business value impact
• Own the Data Science Competency and executes an upskilling program for broader data science community in Mondelēz.
• Lead the Artificial Intelligence Community of Practice (AI CoP) to create a network community of Data Science practitioners that supports upskilling, exchange of ideas, learning and career development
• Accountable for the MDS D&A Data Scientists and ML Engineering & Operations services in in support of the product streams.
• Manage enterprise projects and collaborate with stakeholders and teams globally.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Advance degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Computational Statistics, Mathematics.
• At least 15 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years in a Data Science field as team leader, with proven experience designing, developing, and implementing analytical systems, including the creation of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
• Has at least 5 years’ experience in managing an enterprise Data Science program, Machine Learning (ML) / Large Language Model (LLM), adaptability building programs and strategic roadmaps.
• Strong program management, leadership skills and experience working with global cross-functional teams. Ability to collaborate with internal Data & Analytics teams to develop enterprise protocols.
• Curates the Data Science technology stack in partnership with internal technology platforms and enterprise architecture teams.
• Understanding of various Data Science/AI/ML algorithms as well as their application in business processes.
• Knowledge about application architecture, data security and compliance.
• Knowledge with the following but not limited to: Database systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, Big Query and Neo4j.
• Source code management system like GitHub, Mercurial, and SVN for collaborative development.
• Analytic notebooks such as Jupiter and Zeppelin.
• Expertise in creating interactive data visualizations with open-source web technologies such as Angular, Vue, React, or D3.js, as well as frameworks such as Shiny and Plotly Dash.
• Ability to develop data-intensive, containerized full-stack web applications using technologies such as Node.js, Flask, and Django.
• Knowledge with cloud-based environments such as Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and AWS and their machine learning components.
• Experience working with big data analytical environments including Apache Spark, Presto, Impala, or other distributed SQL engines.
